Greetings in the 69th year of the Hotel & Restaurant Association Western India!
I am sure you are aware, that availability of Wi-Fi in Hotels & Restaurants is now become a norm and one of the basic services provided to our clients, across Hotels and Restaurants. Today’s travellers, come from different walks of life, may they be domestic or international travellers and as once upon a time, Service Providers / Hotels provided this service on a chargeable basis, charged a hefty sum, now the same service, is expected for free.
Apparently, you will agree that, the online world also offers businesses the potential for reaching a broader customer base. However, the world of online business brings along with it, potential security risks as well as scams. A single successful attack could seriously damage your business and cause financial burden for you and your customers, as well as affect your business’s reputation, and is extremely important that you protect your business against cyber security threats.
The IT Seminar will be very impactful and will be simple and easy to understand. These Sessions would guide the Hotels and Restaurants with ways to Safeguard these problems:
Session 1: Managed Guest Internet Service for Hotels, Restaurant and Café and Revenue Monetize Models on Wi-Fi.
This session will be conducted by Mr. Rajesh Pillai, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Treya Wireless Pvt Ltd., has performed various functions such as bringing in seed funding for the company, Recruiting Pre-Sales, Sales, Technical and Operation Teams and Finance Management. Before starting his firm, Mr. Pillai has worked for companies such as Docomo Inter-Touch India, Controll S, Netmagic Solutions and Hindustan Unilever Limited. Mr. Pillai has completed his Master’s in Management Studies and Bachelor in Science (physics).
Session 2: Cyber threats, liabilities and ways to safe guard all stakeholders. Specifically designed for Hospitality and Tourism.
This session will be conducted by Mr. Ravish Jhala, post Graduated in E-Business and currently studying Hotel Planning and Design from Cornell University. Mr. Ravish is a Hospitality Consultant in field of Low Voltage, Up-Skill, Wireless Technologies and Security and has been part of start-up ecosystem from last 6 years. Mr. Ravish has worked with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Mars Hotels and Restaurants, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts and NCR Corporation and is also award winner – Best IT Person of the year 2009, 2010 by Hotelier India, Next100 CIOs of India and EDGE Winners by Times Group. He has been invited by Harvard University Boston and has been visiting the faculty, since 2015 at NMIMS MBA College.

To defray the expenses of organizing the Seminar, a token contribution of Rs. 1350/- (Rs.1,144 + 18% GST i.e. Rs. 206) for HRAWI Members and Rs. 1,650/- (Rs. 1,398 + 18% GST i.e. Rs. 252) for Non – HRAWI Members, is payable.
