Sub: Vithal Kamat wins PATWA 'International Achiever Award'

Dear Members,

The International Council of Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) recently honoured Vithal Kamat, Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd with the ‘International Achiever Award’ at the annual ITB Convention in Berlin. He was awarded for his valuable contribution in the tourism and hospitality industry. The event was attended by exhibitors and members from 180 countries.

The PATWA is the world’s biggest ‘Travel Writers’ organisation, represented by members from 70 countries across the world. The aim of the PATWA International Award is to honour the entrepreneurs, who have made an invaluable contribution in aviation, hospitality and tourism industry.

Kamat on receiving this award expressed his gratitude and delight and said, “It is a wonderful feeling that the concept of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ has gained international recognition in the world tourism industry.
