RESOLVED THAT the entire membership as well as the members of the Managing Committee deeply condole the passing away of Ms. Thangam Philip.
Ms. Thangam Philip was a pioneer of Indian Hospitality Education and her immense contribution during, as well as after her retirement, as the Principal of IHM, Dadar, Mumbai, is a matter of pride and privilege to the entire Hospitality Industry.
She was respected by one and all, and thousands of Hotel Managers, rendering professional services both in India and abroad have one time or the other, have learnt and taken lessons in Hospitality from her.
In her passing away at the ripe old age, the Hospitality Industry has lost a founding pillar of Hospitality Education and so long as the Hospitality Education in India grows her contribution will be remembered and cherished.
The Managing Committee conveys its heartfelt grief over her death and prays to the Almighty that He gives them the courage to forebear the loss.
May her soul rest in peace.
