To,
All the Members,

Dear Member,

SUB :- SEMINAR ON FRINGE BENEFIT TAX AND INNOVATIVE SYSTEM OF RECORDS KEEPING

You will be pleased to note that, this very useful Seminar on topic of current interest about which everyone of us is concerned and anxious about, is being organized at The Taj President, Mumbai on Thursday – 04th August 2005 at 11.00 a.m., which will be followed by lunch.

The newly introduced Fringe Benefit Tax, affects every Employer & Employee. Hotel expenses, being covered there-under, our corporate business segment also has a distinct bearing. To understand the complexity and the modalities of this new tax, the Association, has invited eminent tax expert Mr. Anil Harish who needs no introduction to the membership fraternity. Mr. Harish, will be speaking to us on the salient aspects of this new tax, and he will also throw light on the changes effected under the Income Tax Act and the Service Tax Act, affecting our operations.

With the paper work of various operational and financial transactions rising daily, records keeping has become both an art and science by itself. Innovative approaches are therefore required to Record management. Maintaining old as well as active records, faster tracing of documents and having complete and accurate information available in a cost effective manner, has therefore become a need of the day, in today’s fast changing business environment. To understand more about the new innovative systems of records management, the Association, has invited Ms. Smita Davda - Director, Navbharat Archive Xpress (P) Ltd. Her presentation would cover creation of systems, destruction of unwanted files and centralized storage of documents, that would enable most Hotels & Restaurants, to use their space in an optimum manner.

To defray the expenses of organizing the Seminar and the lunch thereafter, a nominal contribution of Rs.400/-, per head has been fixed. I would urge each and every member of the Association, to enroll their delegates for the Seminar at the earliest and through their participation, make the Seminar more interactive, meaningful and successful. Your questions are also welcome in advance.

I look forward to meet you at The Taj President – Mumbai on Thursday – 04th August 2005.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely,

D. S. ADVANI
